your enquiry as to Gambra's references
[edit]hello. the references listed point to letters, signed and co-signed by Gambra in 1940 and 1941. Addressed either to Don Javier or to Fal, they advocate termination of the regency. My intention was to demonstrate that though in the early 1940s Gambra seemed to favor Dom Duarte as the future king, he did not advance Dom Duarte’s candidacy in disregard of the regency. My intention was to show that Gambra kept recognizing the regency (as demonstrated by the letters referenced) and advanced Dom Duarte’s candidacy only within the limits permitted by the regential solution (after all, the concept of regency allowed the Carlists to form groups advancing prospective candidates). regards, --Dd1495 (talk) 13:18, 18 April 2017 (UTC)
